I think this is a really interesting post. and I totally agree with Gemma, because I think Facebook is a good way of keeping in touch with your current friends, and the old ones. I like it because I can talk to german people, and to people around the world otherwise I couldn't meet new people. However, I think Ray is also right, but just saying that nowadays everyone is able to see your profile and do whatever he/she likes with that information. Anyway I think that if you don't want something to be seen, Facebook is always improving its Privacy and if you don't want someone to see you updates you just have to block him/her.
I believe that the facebook has advantages and disadvantages, but if you do not want that anybody sees anything of your wall you can block it so it does not have so many faults apart you have the option that but they you add they cannot see your wall, saying this I believe that facebook is a good social network to support contact with distant people or that you do not see every day, and where you can put photos or videoes of your vacations, or your hobbies.This is my opinion of the facebook.
